Our heritage

Dulwich College is one of the UK's oldest independent schools, founded in South London as a boys’ school in 1619. Dulwich College International (DCI) was established to bring the Dulwich education to students around the world and is now one of the fastest growing UK independent school networks. Through DCI, Dulwich College has been in Asia for ten years, building bridges between Eastern and Western communities and delivering high academic results and a well-rounded education.

Dulwich International High School Suzhou is made up of approximately 670 students from age 14 to age 19, with over six different nationalities represented in our diverse student body.

Ours was the sixth College to join the Dulwich family of schools. The Dulwich network currently provides for over 7,200 students in eight cities and five countries, with Colleges in London, two campuses in the Jinqiao and Minhang districts of Shanghai, in Beijing, Suzhou, Seoul, Singapore, and Yangon and international high schools in Suzhou and Zhuhai.

The close collaboration among our Colleges stimulates innovation and encourages an international outlook, which we believe provides students an advantage in the future they will face. The result is a community where academic ability is nourished, creativity is valued, diversity is celebrated and inspiration is paramount.
